There is a wide range of services available to University of Guelph-Humber students - everything from help with your homework to a jump-start for your car. Below is a list of all of these services.

Clubs There are plenty of ways to get involved at the University of Guelph-Humber! Visiting our campus life page will give you more information on the clubs and organizations you can join.
Athletics Stay active or support a varsity team. The Athletics page provides details on the athletic facilities, intramural and team sports.
Health Services Medical and nursing assistance is available on campus. Every weekday experienced nurses are on duty in the Health Centre. Physicians are available by appointment during the week. All full-time University of Guelph-Humber students are automatically covered by the Humber Students' Federation's Student Accident and Sickness Insurance Plan. All full-time University of Guelph-Humber students are also automatically covered by the Humber Students' Federation’s Dental Benefits. Students may choose to opt-out of this coverage by providing documentation of having existing dental coverage.

Personal Counselling Professional counselling is provided free of charge in a private and confidential setting through Counselling Services. The counsellors work with students to assist them in identifying and resolving their problems and concerns. When necessary, counsellors will refer students to appropriate services in the community.

Interfaith Chaplaincy Services A chaplain is here to assist in the spiritual needs of all people and faiths. An Interfaith Prayer Room is also available for individual or group prayer.

International Student Services Office University can be especially challenging if you are studying in a new country. The International Student Services Office is here to help you make a smooth transition to the University of Guelph-Humber. They can assist you with non-academic matters such as purchasing medical insurance, finding housing or linking you with a senior student. They also facilitate an intercultural office and the International Students' Association.

Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD) Specialized services are available to assist students with disabilities in their academic pursuits. Students requiring services to accommodate a learning, physical, sensory or psychological disability are urged to contact Disability Services upon submission of their application. Early self-identification will help the University to provide the best possible service including registration assistance, support services, academic accommodations, liaison services and more.

Writing Centre and Math Centre The Writing Centre provides support with essay writing and thesis development. The Math Centre offers assistance with calculus and statistics and for those students whose pre-tests and class work have shown their mathematics skills to be weak. Students may drop in any time for specific help, or they may come on a regular basis to work on a program designed to meet their individual needs.
Safety and Security The welfare and safety of students is of paramount importance. Security staff patrol the campus 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In addition, the Humber Campus Watch Program provides a safety escort program, strategically located emergency telephone access and comprehensive information on personal safety and awareness.

Child Care The Child Care Centre is designed to accommodate the child care needs of University of Guelph-Humber students, staff and community members on a full-time basis. Childcare is provided by professional graduates of an Early Childhood Education Program. Application should be made early as the Centre usually has a waiting list.

Bookstore The Bookstore provides one-stop shopping convenience. In addition to textbooks, the store features art, drafting and stationery supplies, reference and general reading material, clothing and gift items. The computer department offers a broad selection of hardware and software with many items available at special price discounts.

Media Centre The Media Centre has a wide variety of audio-visual equipment such as data projectors, digital cameras, digital camcorders, laptops and multimedia carts that are available for students to borrow for class projects and classroom presentations. Media staff are available to assist you in the use of this equipment.

Public Transportation The University of Guelph-Humber can be accessed using public transportation within Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton and York Region. Parking Students can apply for parking on WebAdvisor. Students who requested parking will be assigned a parking pass on a first come, first serve basis. The parking pass will provide access to the designated lot only from September-May. The parking pass fee will be added to their "Student Account". Parking passes can be picked up at the University of Guelph-Humber. Students must present photo ID in order to pick up a parking pass. A parking pass will NOT be issued to a family member or friend. Students should check their Guelph-Humber email selection dates.
Lockers Students can apply for lockers on WebAdvisor. Lockers will be assigned on a first come, first serve basis. Locker selection is done prior to the start of the Fall semester and lasts for the Fall and Winter semesters of that year. The locker fee will be added to the “Student Account” on WebAdvisor.
H.E.A.R.T. Program The Humber Emergency Auto Response Team (HEART) is a free service of the Parking Services of the Department of Public Safety. HEART has been designed to assist students, staff, faculty and visitors experiencing vehicle problems while at the University of Guelph-Humber. They are not trained mechanics, but will do their best to help you get on your way. If you require the services of HEART, call 416.675.6622, Ext.4416, or use any emergency telephone.
