Apply to graduate

You may now apply to graduate online, using WebAdvisor (go to Academic Profile.)

The application is due on or before Monday March 5th, 2012.

Any student who does not apply online before the March 5th deadline must complete a hard-copy application and submit it to GH108 no later than Friday March 23rd, 2012.

Please note the following:

• Paper applications are subject to a $60 late processing fee. It's best to apply online and on time.
• Failure to complete an application to graduate, whether online or on paper, will affect your ability to graduate.
• On the application to graduate, you may choose your degree to read Bachelors degree or, its Latin term, Baccalaureate. Their meanings are the same. Please choose one or the other on your application.

Graduation Standing

Standing on graduation is noted for graduates from the honours programs as follows:

• Degree with Distinction: Cumulative average of 80% or higher.
• Degree with Honours: Cumulative average of 70-79%.
• Degree with Standing: Cumulative average of less than 70%.

If you have any questions or concerns about your eligibility to graduate, please attend a Prep to Grad workshop hosted by the  Academic Advising Unit on the following dates:

Outstanding Fees

Any graduating student who has an outstanding balance at the time of Convocation will be placed on Financial Sanction. He or she will not be issued the official degree or diploma parchment at the Convocation ceremony.  Parchments will be withheld until payment is made.

Graduation Checklist and Timeline:

1. Fall 2011 Letter of Permission (LOP) grades due on February 3, 2012.
2. Online application to graduate due on March 5, 2012. Hard-copy applications available in GH108 as of March 6th.
3. Hard copy applications to graduate due no later than March 27, 2012. A $60 late fee applies.
4. Check your Program/Academic EVAL on WebAdvisor to make sure you meet graduation requirements by May 4, 2012.
5. Order your Convocation gown online (available in May).
6. Attend your Convocation on June 18, 2012.
