Student Speaker - Umair Khan

Umair, a fourth-year business student, is an active member of the University of Guelph-Humber community. For the past 3 years, he's been president of DECA U chapter at Guelph-Humber. Umair recently took first and second medals in DECA U case competition. He's also competed at Royal Roads University case competitions. A former Learning Support Peer (LSP), Umair is not only a familiar face but a grea leader as well.  We are delighted to have Umair sharing his story at this year’s Last Lecture.

Alumni Speaker - Taymour Israr

As a student Taymour founded the University of Guelph Humber Investment Club. He was also an original member of the Guelph-Humber Accounting Association and silver medallist at DECA U competition. Taymour majored in Finance and completed all 51 ICAO credit hour accounting courses. Academically, he excelled, receiving Deans List honours for grades in the top 10 percentile in Business during his third and fourth years.

After graduation Taymour briefly worked for RBC Bank, before going on to complete an MBA in Finance and Asset Management from the University of New Brunswick. He's presently employed with KPMG LLP in Toronto with the Energy, Mining and Industrial Group.

Recently, Taymour successfully completed the Uniform Final Examination, a required professional examination necessary to obtain the CA designation. He's currently enrolled in the CFA program.

We are thrilled to have Taymour return to the University of Guelph-Humber to share his story.
