Business faculty features in Toronto Star
The Toronto Star covered the release of a report co-produced by University of Guelph-Humber business professor Dr. David Peters.
Peters analyzed a proposed sale of 10 percent of Toronto Hydro by the city, which owns 100 percent of the utility, in collaboration with his father, Douglas Peters, a former chief economist at Toronto Dominion who was also a federal cabinet minister. (The familial connection wasn't mentioned in the article.)
"I enjoy collaborating with my father on consulting projects since we both have a clear idea of our relative strengths, and thus it is relatively easy to divide up the work on projects," said David Peters when reached by email.
In their analysis, the father-and-son team question the efficacy of the proposal. They completed their report for the Canadian Union of Public Employees, the union representing hydro workers, reports John Spears in the Star.
