A team of 4th year Media Studies students are hosting an Emerge event open to staff, students, instructors and the community. The event is  exploring social media's role in helping achieve justice and challenging the social norms. Attendees hear from several speakers who are experts on this topic and learn how these individuals were able to create real change and achieve justice in their communities simply by means of social media. Taking place on Tuesday, March 19th  from 11 a.m.-2p.m. at Humber College’s Seventh Semester Room at the North Campus. Donations at the door will be donated to the Barbra Schlifer Commemorative Clinic, an organization that stands for advocating for women’s rights and cultivating their resilience by offering legal representation, professional counselling, and multilingual interpretation to women who have experienced violence.
