Danielle Pomeroy has been teaching at the University of Guelph-Humber since 2017. She is a social worker registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. She has spent the past 20 years working within the criminal justice and mental health sectors with youth and their families experiencing social, emotional and behavioural challenges. She has taught at Humber College since 2008 in a variety of diploma and degree programs in the School of Social and Community Services. She also has a private practice in Halton Region working with adolescents and their families. Her most recent clinical experiences include working for 12 years as a social worker with Halton Regional Police Service as well as prior extensive work in children’s mental health, crisis intervention, trauma, restorative justice and family relationships. Pomeroy is a Yoga Teacher who specializes in teaching yoga and workshops for adults and adolescents with a Trauma Informed framework.
