Amanda Neves

Community Social Services
Amanda Neves has taught at the University of Guelph-Humber since 2018. Neves is a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW), as well as the Canadian Association of Social Workers (CASW). She holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Psychology from the University of Guelph (2013), and a Master of Social Work specializing in Mental Health and Health from the University of Toronto (2015). As an alumni of UofGH, Neves has held the position of sessional lecturer within the CSS program since 2018. Over the years, Neves has worked in children’s mental health, providing individual and family therapy to youth living in the city of Toronto. Neves also holds a private practice with a focus on adolescent and adult attachment. Most recently, Neves has received the prominent Arbor Award from the University of Toronto, celebrating her notable service as an executive board member of the Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work Alumni Association.

Kimberley Noble

Media and Communication Studies
Kimberley Noble has been teaching in the Media Studies program at University of Guelph-Humber since 2008.
The start of Noble’s teaching sojourn at UofGH coincidently corresponded with the watershed year in which the mass media landscape was forever changed by a global financial crisis and the launch of the smart phone.
Noble’s goal as an instructor is to provide undergraduate students with both the critical perspective and practical tools with which to understand, navigate as well as to improve the world shaped by these seismic events. Noble comes to teaching with degrees in English, Fine Art and Journalism and two decades experience as a staff writer at The Globe and Mail and Maclean’s magazine.
She has written for most of Canada’s well-known publications and was awarded several reporting and writing awards including two first-place National Newspaper Awards for Business Reporting. Noble is working on an MA thesis in narrative structure at York University, work, that was presented to the Standing Conference on Organisational Symbolism at Sapienza University of Rome in July 2017.

Jeffrey O’Leary has been teaching at the University of Guelph-Humber since 2010. In addition to his teaching role, he works in Accounting at Wolseley Canada. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of New Brunswick, a Masters of Business Administration and has earned the Charted Professional Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), and Chartered Marketer designations.
