International Applicant: Requirements

You are an International Applicant if:

  • You currently reside outside of Canada, and
  • You are not a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, and
  • You are not currently attending an Ontario high school day program (in Ontario or abroad).

You are required to meet admission requirements similar to those necessary to register in an accredited university in your locale. International applicants are individually assessed on country-specific data. Possession of minimum requirements does not guarantee entry.

Subject requirements

Each program has subject-specific requirements. As an international applicant applying from high school you should include among your senior level courses specific subject requirements at the advanced level.

Business English; math; four additional senior level courses
Early Childhood Studies English; five additional senior level courses
Family and Community Social Services English; five additional senior level courses
Justice Studies English; five additional senior level courses
Kinesiology English; math; any two from science, chemistry, physics; two additional senior level courses
Media Studies English; five additional senior level courses
Psychology English; five additional senior level courses

Admission average/estimated cut-offs

Cut-off estimates apply to students who have been educated in Canada. Students educated outside of Canada will have their eligibility assessed on an individual basis.

English language requirements

You will be required to provide proof of English proficiency if English is not your first language and you have studied less than four years in an English language school (minimum high school level). Proof of English proficiency must be provided with your required documents.

Postseconday Transfers

If you are applying as a transfer applicant from an international college or university, your completed postsecondary studies will be evaluated for potential transfer credit respective to the program to which you have applied.
