Early Childhood expert says there are signs of stress and anxiety parents can watch for when their children return to the classroom

 In an article for GuelphToday, UofGH’s Early Childhood Studies Program Head Dr. Nikki Martyn provides parents/guardians tips on how to watch for signs of stress and anxiety as children return back to the classroom.

Dr. Martyn highlights that each child is different, but parents can look for changes in behavior, self-regulation or symptoms of anxiety such as physical changes. She also emphasizes the importance of supportive home environment and routine to help reduce stress. Read more here.
