Thinking of transferring to the University of Guelph-Humber?

For Stephen Kostuck, thinking about his dream job brought a reality check.

Kostuck was a student at Sheridan College’s business program when his mother encouraged him to look around at jobs online to see what he might like to do down the road. As he sifted through job ads, he quickly realized that while a diploma would help get his foot in the door, the positions he really wanted all required a degree.

With a bit of research, he found out about the University of Guelph-Humber’s transfer program, and he was immediately intrigued.

“It sounded too good to be true,” said Kostuck, who has just finished his first semester at the UofGH. “I’d have all the certifications that I need for most of the positions I was thinking of in such a short time.

“Having spent time here now, I know this path was the best one for me.”

Here are some of the reasons transferring to the University of Guelph-Humber might be the best path for you too.

Fast-track to a Degree

The University of Guelph-Humber can get you where you’re going much more quickly. And since transfer students are automatically eligible for generous scholarships up to $5,000, that degree might be more affordable than you think.

Location, Location, Location

All our classes are offered in our innovative facility located in Toronto.

Close-knit Community

Our average class size is only 49 students, and Kostuck says he was “very surprised” at how intimate his classes were. “The professor knows your name and you get to participate in class. It made the transition easier that I wasn’t just another student.”

Make Connections

If you want to get more out of your academic experience, the University of Guelph-Humber makes it easy to get involved and begin building your professional network. “It’s very easy to get involved in the school,” Kostuck said. “You can just walk around and find clubs and things going on all over the place.”

Study Around the Globe

Nothing opens minds like travel, and University of Guelph-Humber students can earn credits while they globe-trot in our study abroad program. Through professor-guided study tours, you’ll experience concepts from class playing out in real life. All study abroad courses are partially subsidized by the university, and you might be eligible for additional travel grants.
