Top 10 reasons to go to the OUF

This week, from Sept 22-24, thousands of students will be heading into downtown Toronto for the Ontario Universities’ Fair (OUF). All 21 of Ontario’s universities will be there, and it’s the perfect place to learn what it’s like to be a student at the University of Guelph-Humber. Come visit us to find out more about our programs. Here are the top 10 reasons the OUF is worth checking out.

1) Speak to current UofGH students: To find out what it’s like to be a student at UofGH, you need to talk to a student at UofGH. Each day, we’ll have a number of students at the OUF who can tell you all about life at the university.

2) OUF Passport: If you register to attend, you’ll get a custom barcode that you can scan at every booth you visit. It’ll help you keep track of who you see and get more information from the universities that stand out. You’ll also be entered into the OUF’s draw for one of four $500 pre-paid credit cards.

3) Get to know UofGH’s staff and program heads: UofGH is a small school, one where your professors will get to know your name. If you visit our booth, you’ll get a chance to meet some of the people who might be teaching your classes.

4) Hear our presentations: UofGH staff will present twice each day about our programs, internships, student life and everything else. We’ll be in room in 716A at 12 p.m. and at 3 p.m.

5) Meet your future classmates: Over the weekend, more than 130,000 students, parents and teachers visit the OUF, so meet some students from other schools. They might just be your classmates next year.

6) Win amazing back to school gear: If you visit the UofGH booth and scan your OUF passport, you’re eligible for one of our four prize draws. Each day of the fair we’re giving away 3 iPads, and at the end of the weekend, a lucky winner will get a brand new Macbook Air.

7) Learn the ins and outs of our programs: Want to find out why our Psychology program stands out or how our Kinesiology program will put you on the track to your dream job? The OUF is the place to learn all about it.

8) Check out Toronto while you’re here: The OUF is held right in Toronto’s downtown, so after you’ve learned about our programs, go see everything the city has to offer. If you study at UofGH, Toronto will be at your doorstep, so get familiar with the city.

9) It’s three days long: Can’t make it on Friday? Don’t worry, you’ve got the whole weekend to learn what UofGH has to offer.

10) It doesn’t cost a thing: Admission to the OUF is free, so feel free to drop by and learn what we’re all about.
