Course Resumption Update
UPDATE: All UofGH classes will resume on Monday, Nov. 20 and Tuesday, Nov. 21. Please visit guelphumber.ca/updates for more information
I want to welcome new and returning students to a new year at the University of Guelph-Humber. At UofGH, you are part of an innovative approach to higher education, one that mixes the best of theoretical and hands-on learning.
As the academic year begins, I encourage you to take full advantage of the many opportunities that are available on campus, both inside and outside of the classroom. In our lecture rooms you’ll learn from experienced faculty who are experts in their fields. Our small class sizes mean you’ll get to know and work with classmates who are passionate about the same topics that you are. When class is out, explore the many clubs and student societies that we have on campus — you’ll be amazed by how many others share your interests.
After spending time in the classroom, you’ll have the chance to put your skills to work during a field placement or internship. Besides giving you an introduction to working in your field, this opportunity will help you build your professional network and prepare you to enter the working world.
UofGH grows and thrives each year because of the quality of our faculty, staff, alumni, and of course, our students. Thank you for choosing to join us. Good luck and I wish you much academic success in the year to come.
Dr. John Walsh, Vice-Provost
