Whether you’re stepping onto campus for the first time or coming back after a summer off, there’s a team dedicated to making sure you get the most out of your time at the University of Guelph-Humber.  Student Services can help you sort out your finances, give you advice about course selection and help you plan for your dream job. Whatever you need, they’ve got you covered.

Academic Advising
Where: GH108
What: Academic Advising will help you work out your academic goals and guide you through course planning. Your Academic Advisor can tell you about the university’s policies and procedures and refer you to other on-campus resources, like workshops to build academic skills. Each academic program has a dedicated advisor, so if you ever have a question or an issue, don’t be afraid to reach out.   

Placement Services
Where: GH108
What: After learning the theories in the classroom, Placement Services will help you put them into practice in the workplace. Each and every program at UofGH has a field placement, and this service will help make sure you’ve found the right fit. Think of your field placement as a trial run for your career, one where you’ll get the chance to meet working professionals and build your network. Placement Services will support you along the way, making sure you’re getting the chance to show off your skills.

Career Services

What: A degree and a diploma can open the doors to your dream job, but you’ll need a top-notch resume and cover letter to get noticed first. Career Services can offer you the personalized and relevant advice to help you prepare for your job hunt, whether that be through mock interviews or goal setting. If you’re thinking of applying for more schooling, they can help with that too. Career Services aren’t just for current students either; if you’re a UofGH grad, they’re always here to give you some guidance. Student Financial Services

What: Education is an investment and Student Financial Services will help you navigate its costs. If you want to know when that tuition payment is due, learn more about UofGH’s awards and bursaries, or ask some questions about OSAP? They can help. Let Student Financial Services help you deal with your money so you can spend your time learning.

Alumni Services

What: Though you’re at UofGH right now as a student, you’ll be alumni for a lifetime. Alumni Services helps build the UofGH community on campus and beyond, and while you’re here they can help you meet and network with UofGH grads. Check out their Alumni Mentorship Program to get one-on-one advice from someone working in your field.
