Japan (ECS-DC students only): Innovations that Transform Children's Lives

In this study abroad course, we will explore innovations in education that transform the lives of children. Through a study tour of Japan, a nation known for its innovations in early childhood education, students will observe kindergarten programming and learn about cutting edge research in child development. Students will experience Japanese culture and gain an understanding of the context it provides for early childhood education. As part of this cultural immersion, students will visit an amusement park to comprehend the significance of play in children’s lives.
