Switzerland: Bonjour, Buongiorno, Allegra - The Swiss Economy and Society

This course explores Switzerland, a country long known for its neutrality. By virtue of this neutrality, Switzerland has positioned itself as the headquarters of leading global bodies and corporations, including the United Nations, the International Olympic Committee, the World Trade Organization and Credit Suisse.  While exploring this facet of Switzerland, students will compare the country to the rest of Europe, inquiring into differences of historical trajectory and industry composition. The study tour in this course will take students to Zurich, Lucerne, Geneva, Lausanne, Zermatt, St. Moritz, and Vaduz Liechtenstein.
