At this presentation, Detective Constable Ashley Keveza and Kristal Moore (Lead Crime Analyst) from South Simcoe Police Service will discuss their journeys through education and employment within the justice sector. The presentation will ask students to consider their individual strengths and interests and consider how to utilize these to navigate opportunities within the justice sector. The presentation will discuss employment opportunities and highlight how education in justice studies supports various career paths. It will also highlight the significance of personal wellness for justice sector employees.
Ashley Keveza is a Detective Constable working in Investigative Services for South Simcoe Police Service. She specializes in investigative interviewing for special populations and serves as a primary investigator for cases concerning women and children. Ashley is a GH Justice Studies alumna and graduate of the Masters in Counselling Psychology, Yorkville University. Kristal Moore is the Lead Crime Analyst at South Simcoe Police Service and the Chapter President for IALEIA Ontario. She provides analytical support to the Criminal Investigations Bureau, assisting investigations by producing analytical reports and products for investigators and Crown attorney in criminal court trials.
