Work Experience

Complete your degree requirement for work experience with up to 242 hours of placement, and step into real-world roles, build powerful professional networks, and sharpen the interpersonal skills that employers value most.
3rd Year
88 hours
On campus (11 hours), you work one-on-one with a client to help reach their fitness and health goals.
Off-campus (77 hours), you work with a business or organization (e.g., athletic and varsity programs, cardiac rehabilitation centres, and clinical hospital settings)
4th Year
154 hours
You have the option to complete an additional 154 hours of placement with an independent research study.
If you do not choose placement, you must complete a two-semester long research thesis in a lab setting.
In addition to work placement, you gain experience through labs and practicums for a total of 1,000+ hours. Plus, there are many opportunities for you to get involved in initiatives outside of class.

Admission Requirements
To be considered for admission, you must:
- Be completing your Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD).
- Be completing six 4U/M courses, including:
- ENG4U or equivalent (e.g., EAE4U)
- Any 4U math
- SBI4U
- Three additional 4U/M courses
- Have an admission average above 70%
