Little hearts, big feelings: Early Childhood Studies Chair Dr. Elena Merenda talks about navigating children’s grief

Whether it be navigating death or mourning changes to a life they once knew, children process grief differently than adults. 

University of Guelph-Humber Early Childhood Studies Chair Dr. Elena Merenda joined The Guelph-Humber Podcast to discuss this important and often underrepresented topic, and shared what future professionals should know about supporting grieving children. 

“It's essential to talk about the cycle of life and to create opportunities in any environment that they're in, where children can ask questions and share their thoughts and emotions,” Dr. Merenda said on the podcast.
