We invite faculty members/instructors to join us by participating in the Platform Party.

The Platform Party is comprised of senior administration, key representatives from the University of Guelph and Humber Polytechnic, and faculty members/instructors. Platform Party members sit on stage during the ceremony.

There are limited seats on stage for faculty members/instructors. Academic programs are assigned to specific ceremony times based on class size and venue capacity.

Q: What is the time commitment involved in participating in the Platform Party?

Chairs and Associate Heads should arrive 1 hour and 15 minutes prior to the scheduled ceremony start time to participate in photos and other ceremonies.

Other faculty members/instructors should arrive a minimum of 45 minutes prior to the schedule ceremony start time. Upon arrival at North Toronto Congress Centre, faculty members/instructors can follow directional signage to check in at the VIP Platform Party Room.

The ceremony itself will run for approximately 2 - 2.5 hours followed by a 45-minute Alumni Reception. The Platform Party will have the opportunity to mingle with graduates and their guests during the reception.

Q: Will transportation be provided to the North Toronto Congress Centre?

Q: What is the dress code?

All members of the Platform Party are required to wear academic regalia.

There will be black undergraduate gowns provided (in an assortment of sizes), as well as hoods from the University of Guelph-Humber and the University of Guelph.

If you own academic regalia from your alma mater, you are welcome to bring and wear that to the ceremony. We are unable to provide regalia from other Canadian or international institutions.

Q: Will I have an opportunity to see my students before or after the ceremony?
