Karey Rowe

Hi, I am Karey Rowe, Chair of Business here at the University of Guelph-Humber. I’ve spent over 20 years leading in higher education and operations across Canada, the U.S., and the Caribbean—which means I’ve seen just about every challenge an organization can throw at you, and I love finding creative, people-centered solutions.

My doctoral research looked at how artificial intelligence is shaping higher education—not just in terms of efficiency and productivity, but also how it affects the people who bring learning to life every day. I’m passionate about making sure innovation works with people, not against them.

Around here, I focus on building programs that matter, creating opportunities for students to shine, and connecting our classrooms to the world beyond them. I believe learning should be hands-on, globally connected, and maybe even a little fun.

Outside of work, I’m always up for a good case competition, a travel adventure, or finding new ways to blend business strategy with real-world impact.
