GO Transit Student ID

Getting your GO Transit student fare discount has never been easier! Visit the GO Transit Student ID website and fill out an online application request form for an electronic GO Transit Student ID. Eligibility is restricted to undergraduate or graduate students enrolled and registered in a full-time course/program.

Apply Online

  1. Visit www.gotransit.com/studentid.
  2. Complete the GO Transit Student ID online application process.
  3. Have your PRESTO card set to the post-secondary student fare concession.

Getting your GO Transit Student ID

Upon approval, you will receive an email with your GO Transit Student ID. You can download it right to your phone, or print a copy to keep in your wallet. Either option will be accepted by GO Transit Safety Staff.

If you are not eligible for a GO Transit Student ID, you will receive an email detailing the reason for the decline.

Be sure to have your GO Transit Student ID + PRESTO Card available when travelling on the GO Transit system while using a student discounted fare – don’t get caught without it during a ticket check!

Smart Commute – Find a Carpool Buddy!

A great way to lower your commuting costs is by finding someone to carpool to campus with. Once you have a carpool buddy or group set up, you can get a Carpool Parking Permit and park in the preferred Carpool Parking spots that are scattered around the North campus.
