International Transfer Student Entrance Scholarship

Amount: $10,000 for each recipient 

Eligibility

We will automatically consider full-time students paying the International student tuition and fee rates entering any full-time University of Guelph-Humber degree program who meet at least one of the following criteria:

  • A completed two- or three-year diploma from a recognized institution with a minimum cumulative average of 70%
  • At least one year of full-time studies completed at an accredited university with a minimum cumulative average of 70%

Depending on when you are admitted, you must register in a minimum number of credits per semester to receive the International Transfer Student Entrance Scholarship.

*Visiting/exchange students are not eligible for this program. 

Students' Responsibilities

  • Submit an application for admission.
  • Ensure that my admission application is complete and all documents are received as requested by Admission Services, University of Guelph-Humber.

University's Responsibilities

  • Consider your application for admission and your scholarship eligibility when the required curriculum-specific supporting documentation, as stated on the International Students webpage, is received. Successful recipients will be informed of their scholarship with their offer of admission.
  • Apply the scholarship to your University of Guelph-Humber student account in two equal payments over the respective fall and winter semesters.

Receiving your Scholarship

You must be registered in a full-time course load. We will automatically credit your scholarship to your University account. The scholarship amount will be divided into two equal payments: 

  • Fall Semester Start: Current Year’s Fall and Winter Terms
  • Winter Semester Start: Current Year’s Winter Term and Following Year’s Fall Term

*This scholarship is not renewable.

NOTE: Entrance scholarships cannot be deferred. Students who defer their offer of admission are reconsidered the following year based on the availability of scholarship for that cohort.
