SERC-GC 9th Annual Special Lecture

Dear friends and colleagues of SERC-GC,

You're invited! The Soka Education Research Centre on Global Citizenship (SERC-GC) at the University of Guelph-Humber in Toronto, Canada is excited to host our 9th annual special lecture. This event is taking place virtually on Tuesday, November 10, 2026, from 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM (EST). The special lecture is an exciting tradition where we have the opportunity to hear from scholars and practitioners in the fields of value creating education and global citizenship.

This year we are honoured to welcome back Dr. Olivier Urbain, who will deliver a timely lecture on Daisaku Ikeda's Philosophy of Peace: Dialogue, Transformation and Global Citizenship. Dr. Urbain is Director of the Min-On Music Research Institute, Tokyo.
