Fall/Winter 2017-2018 Parking Registration

Fall/Winter 2017/2018 Parking registration opens:

Wednesday July 26, 2017 at 9am via webadvisor.

  • -Student parking permits are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • -Premium (Lot 3 on campus) is extremely limited.
  • -Permits are valid from September 2017 - April 2018

All parking applications are processed for the fall and winter semesters or the summer semester. If you do not require the pass for both the fall and winter semester a refund may be issued upon return of the parking permit prior to its expiry date.

Parking lot info 

Regular (Queen’s Plate Lot off campus): 

The Queen’s Plate parking lot is located off campus. A shuttle is available to take you from the parking lot to the University. Check the shuttle schedule.

Starting in September, buses from Queen’s Plate will run every 15 minutes from 6:45 am to 10:30 pm, Monday through Thursday and 6:45 am to 8:00 pm on Fridays. The shuttle is free with your Queen’s Plate gate card or a visitor pay-on-exit parking ticket.

The Department of Public Safety will be adding to our existing safety features at Queen’s Plate, including increased lighting and CCTV cameras, an emergency phone and the installation of an on-site pay station.

Premium (Lot 3 on campus):

Premium parking is extremely limited works on a first come, first served basis and generally sells out within moments of going on-sale.

If you are unable to purchase a permit for Premium parking, please consider the Regular option, or use pay-upon-exit parking in lots 4, 5, 6, 8 and 10.

Premium parking is located on campus in Lot 3.

Parking is limited and works on a first-come, first-served basis each day. Premium permit holders may park in Lot 1 if they find that Lot 3 is full. Your Lot 3 Premium permit will be recognized as valid in lot 1.

Parking Enforcement will direct you off campus to Regular parking (Queens Plate lot) in the event that the both Lot 3 and Lot 1 are full. The Premium permit is not valid in any other on-campus parking lot.

Purchase your parking permit

Order your parking permit through WebAdvisor.

If you are a student in residence, it is important to read the note below.

Students living in residence will have access to Lot 1 and do not have to use WebAdvisor to order their parking pass. Parking registration and pick-up will be in GH 110 beginning Monday, August 28, 2017 until Friday, September 15, 2017. Your residence identification card is required to pick up your permit. The on-campus parking pass fee will be posted to students’ WebAdvisor account after they pick up their pass.

Follow the steps below in WebAdvisor to purchase a parking permit:

  1. Log in to WebAdvisor.
  2. In the “Students Menu”, click the “Service Selections” link on the right side menu.
  3. Select the relevant term (e.g., F17).
  4. Click the “Submit” button.
  5. The screen will display all of the services that you have already chosen and those that are still available to you. Those showing a Y under the “Accessible” column can be selected by checking the box under the Change column.
  6. Click the “Submit” button.
  7. Your Registration Bill will be updated to include the cost of your parking permit to your total.

Pick up your permit

Parking passes are available for pick up in GH 110 starting on Monday, August 28 until September 15, 2017.

Photo ID is required to pick up your parking permit. Parking permits will only be issued to the students assigned to a spot. We will not issue a pass to a family member or friend on your behalf.

Permits will not be mailed.

Parking for Students with Disabilities

Accessible parking spaces are available for staff and students with a valid Ministry of Transportation (MTO) Disabled Person Parking Permit and a valid University of Guelph-Humber parking permit. Individuals with a valid parking permit who have a temporary health or disability, may apply for a special Medical Parking Permit. A doctor’s medical certificate is required. The special permit is non-renewable and is valid for a maximum of 2 months. Medical Permit Holders must park in designated “MEDICAL” spaces and are not permitted to park in MTO Accessible parking spaces.
