Date:
Thursday, September 28, 2017 - 10:30am to 12:30pm

Location: GH302

NOTE: This is a Guelph-Humber instructor-only workshop.

Facilitated by John Walsh, Vice-Provost, University of Guelph-Humber and Eileen De Courcy, Associate Vice-President, Teaching & Learning, Humber College.

This workshop will emphasize the value of the case study method in the learning process. It is intended for all Humber and University of Guelph-Humber instructors with an interest in using case studies as a teaching tool, as well as those who are interested in the research, development and publication of teaching cases.

In this session, instructors will explore case writing themes including:

  • Planning and the implementation of the writing process
  • Teaching notes
  • Preparing a case study for publication

If you are interested in developing short case studies, grounded in a real world setting, with focused learning objectives, we will be discussing timelines and the process for case submissions to the World Association for Case Method Research and Application (WACRA) conference in Rotterdam, Netherlands from June 30, 2018 – July 5th, 2018.
