Carri-Ann Scott has taught at the University of Guelph-Humber since January 2020. She has a Kindergarten Specialist designation from York University and a Trauma and Resilience certificate. Scott’s research interests include the effects of technology on child development, early literacy strategies, and professional collaborative relationships in school settings. Her current Ph.D. research dives into the affirmation and acceptance of neurodiversity in children in the school system.

Carri-Ann brings her passion for Early Childhood Education to all her classes at Guelph-Humber.  Working with children and families for more than 20 years has contributed to a deep reservoir of anecdotes, tips and tricks that she incorporates into her lessons to ensure that students have far more than a theoretical knowledge of teaching.

When not in the classroom, you can find Lego fanatic Carri-Ann enjoying the calming effects of the water on a paddleboard.
