Media and Communication Studies
James Kuo has been teaching in the Media Studies program at the University of Guelph-Humber since 2019. In addition to his responsibilities as a design educator, James is a professional graphic design practitioner with experience in corporate visual identity, design management, design production, digital and visual communications, graphic design, photography, typography, user experience, and user interface designs on both digital and print media. James completed his BFA in Communications Design at the Pratt Institute in New York with an emphasis on Graphic Design and Art Direction, and an MFA in Design from the School of Visual Arts, New York. His award-winning work has been published in Designedge Canada, Print, Communication Arts and Graphic Design USA. James is registered and certified with the Society of Graphic Designers of Canada and a member of the Board of Directors for the Evaluation and Certification Committee of the Association of Registered Graphic Designers in Canada.
