Kimberley Noble has been teaching in the Media Studies program at University of Guelph-Humber since 2008.

The start of Noble’s teaching sojourn at UofGH coincidently corresponded with the watershed year in which the mass media landscape was forever changed by a global financial crisis and the launch of the smart phone.

Noble’s goal as an instructor is to provide undergraduate students with both the critical perspective and practical tools with which to understand, navigate as well as to improve the world shaped by these seismic events. Noble comes to teaching with degrees in English, Fine Art and Journalism and two decades experience as a staff writer at The Globe and Mail and Maclean’s magazine.

She has written for most of Canada’s well-known publications and was awarded several reporting and writing awards including two first-place National Newspaper Awards for Business Reporting. Noble is working on an MA thesis in narrative structure at York University, work, that was presented to the Standing Conference on Organisational Symbolism at Sapienza University of Rome in July 2017.
