Family & Community Social Services

Understand social welfare and social justice - topics affecting vulnerable populations throughout society – and learn how such populations can be best supported.

Learn foundations and skills in counselling, interpersonal communication and conflict resolution while using sociological and ethical theories to better understand barriers.

UofGH offers two Family & Community Social Services (FCSS) programs.
Whether you’re just getting started with your postsecondary education, transferring from another school, looking to begin your degree immediately after your diploma, or you’re a working professional looking to complete your degree and advance your career, our programs prepare you for any social service, community agency or non-profit setting in this emerging career field.
