Justice Studies Program Head talks to Toronto Star about tasers in Policing

Dr. Gary Ellis was interviewed in a Feb. 20 Toronto Star story about how the Toronto Police Board is considering issuing more Tasers to front-line officers. He spoke about how Tasers are less lethal than firearms and more effective than batons, but require strong regulations, reporting, supervision and transparency around when they are used.
