Convocation Awards honour Graduates

UofGH students graduating with the highest cumulative average in their program were awarded the Vice-Provost Award for Academic Excellence. The awards were handed out during Convocation ceremonies on June 15, 2015.

The award-winners were honoured with another UofGH tradition: the ringing of the bell. Each rang the bell on behalf of their graduating class, marking the end of their educational journey at the university, and their entry into the alumni family.

Michael Nightingale Community Enrichment Award

Named after the first Vice-Provost of the University of Guelph-Humber, this award honours a graduating student who has made significant contributions to the university’s community.

2015 Recipient: Breanne McCoomb

Portrait of Breanne McCoomb holding the Michael Nightingale award. Breanne McCoomb served as both a program representative and president of the GHSA (Guelph-Humber Student Association). She was a START Leader, a Learning Support Peer, and a First Year Experience Leader.
