Student Message: Statement on India-Canada Relations

Dear Guelph-Humber students,

I hope you are well and that the start of the Fall term has you excited for what’s to come as you meet new classmates and start your new courses.

I understand the evolving situation between the governments of Canada and India has left some students with questions about potential impacts on them. The University of Guelph-Humber works to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all students no matter where you come from.

The university is monitoring the ongoing situation between Canada and India. Should there be any changes related to the status of post-secondary students from India, we will communicate those directly. The Guelph-Humber community supports the many students and employees at Guelph-Humber with direct and indirect ties to India, and we will continue to foster an inclusive environment and support students and employees who are impacted by this ongoing situation. We are here to provide support to students who may need it.

If you are looking for a space to pause and reflect, please feel free to visit the Spirituality and Wellness Centre on Humber’s North Campus in LRC 2112.

One of our biggest strengths as a Guelph-Humber community is how we come together to support each other.

I encourage each of us to continue to support one another.
