Thursday, Nov 10^th brought Ontario’s biggest justice-focused career fair to the University of Guelph-Humber. For the 13^th year in a row, UofGH has partnered with the Association of Black Law Enforcers (ABLE) to host the fair, which featured dozens of representatives from justice and emergency agencies.

“This fair exposes our students to the depth and breadth of careers available to justice professionals, whether that be in the corporate world, policing, government agencies or elsewhere,” says Dr. Glenn Hanna, Assistant Program Head of Justice Studies. “They get a chance to meet face-to-face with employers and recruiters, and get the most up-to-date info about working in this field.”

Open not just to students, but the wider community too, the fair saw a strong turnout, with hundreds of interested people learning about new job opportunities.

“We have students who are ready to be the next generation of justice professionals, so this is a great opportunity for employers to meet them,” Dr. Hanna says. “The fact that so many recruiters travelled from so far around is a testament to the quality of our students.”
