Working on Wellness: Self-Care in Social Work Symposium
A group of Community Social Services (CSS) students including symposium manager, Monica DiMascio (fourth-year student) and symposium intern, Nathania Ebegbare (third-year student) planned, organized, and brought to fruition the Working on Wellness: Self-Care in Social Work Symposium on March 7, 2024. The day included inspirational and informative talks by Clinical Social Worker and Founder of Toronto Wellness Counselling, Amy Deacon, as well as Mental Health Educator, Tammy Whelen. Attendees also enjoyed a wellness workshop led by CSS instructor, Danielle Pomeroy, and heard from a career panel of Guelph-Humber alumni.
The CSS Symposium is an annual student-run event that offers an opportunity to learn from invited practitioners and researchers in the field of community and social services.
