The University of Guelph-Humber’s Family and Community Social Services program presents their annual FCSS See | Change Symposium. This student-led event is founded on three pillars: Learn, Act, and Lead. Attendees will Learn about the nature and scope of our most insidious social challenges; Act to promote a compassionate and committed response to those in need by stating solution-based conversations; and Lead to incite change in purist of social justice, to empower, and to build resiliency.

This year, Kaz Stuart, Associate Professor of Child, Adolescent & Family Studies and Principal Lecturer in the Department of Health, Psychology & Social Science visits us from the University of Cumbria, UK. Alex Neve, Secretary General of Amnesty International will be presenting an exclusive lecture entitled “Standing up for Human Rights in a World of Turmoil and Division” emphasising women’s rights. Students will also have an opportunity to interact with a career panel to ask all their pressing questions about entering the social services field or going on to graduate school. In addition, our clinical panel of two professional psychotherapists will provide greater insights for students who wish to pursue this path.

The FCSS See | Change Symposium is open to all GH students. Space is very limited, so please register early!
