Scotland & England: Exercise and Culture in the U.K.

In this course, students will explore the interplay between medicine, health, sport and fitness in British society. Students will visit renowned academic institutions in the U.K., including the University of Edinburgh, where they will attend lectures and guided tours on topics related to exercise, diet, and health. Students will tour the historic cities of Bath and Stonehenge in addition to London, the capital of the U.K., where they will visit the British Museum.  Students will also study the organization and delivery of healthcare in the U.K. while considering that framework within a cultural and historical context.
