Apply Now to UofGH

It’s not easy to decide how to navigate your educational journey. Here are a few reasons the University of Guelph-Humber might be the right post-secondary fit for you:

1. More in 4: Earn a degree and diploma from two renowned institutions in just four years

Why graduate with one valuable credential when you could have two? UofGH grads earn an honours degree from the University of Guelph and a college diploma from Humber concurrently – in just four years of full-time study.

2. Focused programs

Our programs were designed to prepare you for personal and professional success. All UofGH’s programs integrate academic theory, hands-on experiential learning and workplace experience, preparing our students to pursue their career goals or explore further post-graduate studies upon graduation.

3. Close-knit community

At UofGH, we’re about people. With our small population of only 4,900 students, you will have convenient access to all varieties of support to help you reach your academic, professional and personal goals. Every program has an Academic Advisor, a Field Placement Coordinator and Career Services Coordinator, and along with the rest of our Student Services offices, we can help you transition to university life, meet other students, select courses, plan your career, and make smart financial decisions.

With our small average class sizes of 49 students, you will also have the opportunity to become personally acquainted with instructors who are leaders in their fields.

4. Industry connections

You won’t need to wait until you’ve graduated to begin building your resume and professional network. At UofGH, workplace experience is an integral part of every program. We also host a variety of career and employment fairs throughout the year to ensure students have the opportunity to forge connections in their field.

5. One convenient location in Toronto

At UofGH, everything you need is in one building, conveniently located on Humber College’s North Campus. The University of Guelph-Humber is easily accessible by car or public transit. If you haven’t visited yet, book a campus tour to see for yourself!

6. Generous scholarships

UofGH offers a variety of scholarships, bursaries and awards to help support your educational expenses. High-school applicants are automatically considered for the $2,000-$5,000 Renewable Entrance Scholarship, while students from outside Canada are automatically considered for the International Student Entrance Scholarship. Every year, 10 $20,000 Founders’ Academic Merit Scholarships are available to students as well. Our Student Financial Services team can help you navigate all your financial needs.

7. Undergraduate research opportunities

If you’re looking to build up your research resume, you could be hired by an instructor as a research assistant funded by UofGH’s Research Grant Fund. UofGH’s undergraduate students have contributed to major research projects exploring existential distress in supportive care populations, post-secondary student wellness strategies, and mental health perceptions and practices of a Cree community in Northern Ontario.

8. Gain an international perspective

UofGH offers students many opportunities to broaden their horizons by studying around the world. On our instructor-guided study abroad trips, students have had the opportunity to visit the Hiroshima Peace Memorial in Japan, explore the interplay between sport, health and culture at New Zealand’s Australasian society, and patrol the Mediterranean on an Italian police vessel while studying their justice system.

Students who love to travel can also take advantage of UofGH’s global international partnerships and spend a semester overseas at foreign universities including the Netherlands’ Hanze University of Applied Sciences, Soka University of Japan in Tokyo, and Northern Ireland’s Ulster University. Our students have also travelled for competitions and conferences in locations including Guatemala, New Orleans, Philadelphia and Seattle.

9. Opportunities to get involved

We want to help you make the most of your university experience, so we offer a variety of ways to get involved on campus. The First Year Experience program will help you make friends and ease your transition to university life, while Kick Start and Orientation will similarly ensure you’re able to hit the ground running.

Once you’re on-campus, UofGH also offers societies related to our seven programs that will help students develop leadership skills and a professional network, clubs oriented around all kinds of interests, and opportunities to get involved in student government with IGNITE  or the University of Guelph Senate.

10. A diverse, inclusive community

At UofGH, you'll learn in a culturally diverse environment in which all students, staff, faculty and community members are made to feel included and welcome. At the University of Guelph-Humber, we celebrate the strength we gain from the differences among us.
