International - After Accepting

Welcome to the University of Guelph-Humber family.

Now that you have accepted your offer, discover your next steps on your way to campus.

  • Fulfill the conditions of your offer

Read your offer of admission thoroughly. Some offers have conditions to fulfill before specific deadlines. You can check your WebAdvisor account to see what documents are outstanding.

You will have received an email from the University with your WebAdvisor user ID and password soon after you applied.

Send in all required documents by the deadline indicated in your WebAdvisor account. If you have questions about documents, please review our FAQ page for international students.

  • Apply for residence

If you have received an offer of admission, you are eligible to apply for residence.

International students are issued a "preferred status" for securing their room booking (for first year), however residence cannot be guaranteed. Residence operates on a first-come, first-served basis; therefore, you are encouraged to apply as soon as possible (after you receive an offer).

The application deadline for winter residence (Winter 2024) is November 3, 2023 and applications for fall residence (Fall 2024) open online in February 2024.

The application process is a two-step process that can take a few days to complete because you need to wait for step 1 to be processed before you can complete step 2. Please do not leave applying for residence to the last minute.

    • Not attend any other postsecondary institution during the deferral period.

    Deferral application process:

    1. Complete the application. For applicants who applied for fall entry, the deferral application is available June 3, 2024 through WebAdvisor under the “Applicant” menu. For applicants who applied for winter entry for Business, you have until December 15, 2023 to request a deferral application from Admission Services via email. You have until December 15, 2023 to submit the deferral application.
    2. Applications are considered on a rolling basis for students who satisfy the conditions of their offer. Once we have considered your application, we will communicate the decision to you by email.
    3. If you submit a deferral application and later choose to withdraw that application to begin classes in 2024, please email Admission Services.
    4. If you are granted a deferral, you will receive a new Offer of Admission for your new entry point.
  • Authorization required to study in Canada
