IGNITE Emergency Financial Relief Fund

The IGNITE Emergency Financial Relief Fund was established as University of Guelph-Humber students have expressed additional financial need as a result of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.  

In response, the IGNITE Student Union has established this fund to provide financial support which is open to full-time domestic and international students with proven financial need.  

Bursaries are awarded on an individual basis upon consideration of expenses, income, family support, part-time employment opportunities, and personal circumstances. 

Award Amount: You may be eligible to receive $500.  

Application Process  

  • The IGNITE Financial Need Bursary Application Form can be found on the Student Financial Services Forms page.
  • Applicants must complete all sections of the form. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed. 
  • Email the completed form from your Guelph-Humber email account to finaid@guelphhumber.ca 

Incomplete Applications 

Students who submit incomplete applications will be denied bursary support.  These students can reapply, but students should note applications will be considered in date order. Students who resubmit an application are considered to have submitted a “new application” and will be processed accordingly. 

Timeline and payment of funding 

Student Financial Services will review applications in date order received on a weekly basis until funding is exhausted.  Students will be notified of the decision regarding their Relief Fund application within 10 business days of submission.
